Meeting with Gozo University Group (GUG)

A delegation from the Gozo University Group (GUG), led by Mr.Owen Teuma (GUG President), recently paid a visit to our office at the Gozo NGO Centre, Xewkija. The GUG delegation were welcomed by Saviour Grech (Association President) President. Association’s NGO Centre.

Beside visiting our work station the meeting provided the opportunity for both sides to explore ways of how GUG can provide a greater input into the workings of the Association. Ways of how the two organisations can work together, on matters of mutual interest, were also explored.

Other topics discussed the meeting included a discussion about how the GUG and the Gozo NGOs Association can better coordinate their respective positions within the Gozo Regional Council, and the possibility of organising joint activities in order to promote Gozitan youth activism, especially in the increasingly challenging times.

Saviour Grech, President of the Gozo NGOs Association conveyed, on behalf of the whole Association’s Council members that the GUG is “A consistent voice for Gozitan youths attending tertiary level educational institution” and wished the newly elected GUG Executive every success in the coming term .
